Easy going, that’s what the South is about. And that’s why we’ve made it easy for you to rent mountain or gravel bikes as well as e-bikes and road bikes.

A relaxed ride through the vineyards with a stop for some refreshments here and there, or going full speed up and down through the sea of vines—our signposted cycle paths are a must for both leisurely pedal-pushers and amateur sportsmen with an ambition. We recommend hitting the road early and rest in the vineyard in the afternoon.

Just a 20-minute drive from the hotel, the Leading Golf Course Golfclub Murstätten welcomes you at gateway to the South Styrian Wine Road.

The 9-hole South Course as well as the training facilities offer ideal practice conditions, while the 18-hole Championship Course is a real challenge for experienced golfers. Running along a riverside forest, the golf club surrounds a 14-hectare lake and offers numerous bunkers as well as exciting greens in a dreamlike setting.

Excursions & daytrips

The historical and cultural highlights in southern Styria and its surroundings are as varied and rich as its grapes and vines.

Charming chapels, magnificent churches and historic paths tell many stories of yesteryear and are bound to cross paths with viticulture sooner or later. Options include, a daytrip to Maribor or Trieste, shopping in the UNESCO World Heritage listed city center of Graz, a detour to enjoy local wine and specialties at the spectacular Genussregal or a visit to the Zotter chocolate factory.
