Turning the wheel of wine
Straight out of the box and onto the road through the wine country. Together with our partner iBike-Box, we offer easy bike rental. Just a few taps on your phone, that’s all it takes.
Our parking lot not only provides space for your car, but also for an elegant wooden container that shelters regularly maintained electric bikes by Haibike. Want to go for a ride? Just grab your phone and rent one of the bikes to discover the region.

Especially if you’re coming only for a short stay, there’s no time to waste. That’s why we’ve compiled the most beautiful routes and saved them for you on the Outdoor Active app.
The LOISIUM routes all start and finish right at the hotel’s front door. Find and download them on the online planning tool from our partner Outdoor Active — and because we like to go the extra mile for our guests, we’ve tested all of the tours for you. Our opinion: They’re definitely worth a try.
For sporty types

Leading almost exclusively over paved roads, this tour is off to an easy start on the flat bike path to Gamlitz, past the Obsthof Glück fruit farm and on towards Grubtal before climbing up the Kranachberg.
For endurance freaks
3:50h | 58.9km | elevation gain: 1137m
Starting out on the Gamlitz bike path, this tour will put you to the test with a more challenging climb up to Sernaukogel. On the way back you will pass through hop plantations for beer production. Perfect for a stop along the way: Buschenschank Adam Schererkogel with breathtaking views.
For challenge lovers
3,30H | 62.8km | elevation gain 1300m
This tour will take you up the plateaus of the South Styrian wine country not once, but twice — first along the South Styrian Wine Road and then up the Kranachberg to the Kreuzbergwarte. Stop along the way at Buschenschank Hack-Gebell.
If you brought your own bike, feel free to pedal past this one. Everyone else, listen up! Our reception has a fleet of electric and gravel bikes from iBIKE-BOX waiting for you to take them on an exploration of the Styrian nature.
You can leave your personal bike easily and safely in one of the lockable bike spaces next to the hotel. If you prefer to keep your bike close to you, even at night, you can request a bike rack for your room at the reception desk*. Rented bikes must always be returned to the iBIKE-BOX.

If your bike is full of mud and dust after a tour through the south Styrian countryside, it’s a sign you did everything right. To help your two-wheeled companion regain its shine, there’s a bike wash station next to the iBIKE-BOX.
With so much physical exertion, stomach pangs are bound to kick in eventually and demand some attention. To keep you from having to prepare your sandwiches in your hotel room, we’ll provide you with snacks according to your individual needs. Simply order at the reception. By request, we can also provide you with a bicycle backpack.

If you forgot to pack certain parts of your bike gear or you’re missing them altogether, we’ll be happy to rent them to you. Just ask at the reception.
