The participants will receive liquid gold in form of bottles in advance and then only have to switch on the laptop – and the best thing about it: You can definitely keep your sweatpants on during this wine tasting. Our LOISIUM wine expert Wolfgang Pfanner is always there, and he knows Styrian wines even better than the back of his hand.

REGIONAL WINE
The wines (e.g. South StyriaDAC) stand for the typical Styrian freshness and fruitiness. A representative wine style was defined for the area, which should always meet the expectations of the customers. Styria has three DAC areas (Districtus Austriae Controllatus - which means: controlled designations of origin): South StyriaDAC , Vulkanland StyriaDAC and West StyriaDAC.
LOCAL WINE
Wines with this designation are located between regional wine and site wine, (e.g. South StyriaDAC Kitzeck-Sausal). The difference to the regional wine is that these wines have more body and complexity and that the wine represents the typical character of the local wines. The wines bear the name of the cadastral community, or the large area in which the various cadastral communities are grouped together.
SITE WINE
Site wines (also called vineyard wines) are at the top of the value pyramid of each area. They stand for complex, long-developed, great wines with a corresponding storage potential. No vineyard is like the other. Their own character is always very individual due to the orientation of the vineyard, the sunlight, the soil and ultimately the work of the winemaker.
TOP SITE WITE
Site wines from the most famous vineyards in an area. The top locations in South Styria are for example: Hochsulz, Grassnitzberg, Obegg and Kranachberg.
